University Congregational Church
405 University Avenue
5:35pm-6:35pm

Welcome to the regular Friday meeting of the Zootown Happy Hour Group of Alcoholics Anonymous.

My name is _______ and I am an alcoholic.

Please silence all cell phones as a courtesy to the group.

Please join me in a moment of silence followe d by the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

AA Preamble: Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution, does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses or opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

I have asked a friend to read How It Works.

I have asked a friend to read The Ninth Step Promises.

I have asked a friend to read the Twelve Traditions.

Is there anyone here f or their first AA meeting or their first meeting since their last drink? If so, please introduce yourself by your first name only.

Do we have any visitors from outside the Missoula or any non AA visitors with us today? If so, please introduce yourself and tell us where you are from.

Are there any AA sobriety anniversaries today or this week?

This is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous and we are glad you are all here, especially newcomers. In keeping with our primary purpose, we ask that you please limit your sharing to alcohol and recovery from alcoholism.

(If there is a Birthday) Would you like to share with us how you have ___________ time?

Does anyone have a topic for tonight's meeting?

(Around 6:05pm announce the 7th tradition)

Our Seventh Tradition states that every AA group should be entirely s elf supporting, declining outside contributions. If this is your first meet ing, please do not put anything in the basket. The Pink Coconut is for dona tions to purchase literature for those incarcerated.

(At 6:30pm)

Closing: We have come to the end of our hour. Are there any burning desires?

Before closing, let us remember that anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions. Tell anyone you wish you re an AA member but please do not reveal the identity of anyone else.

This group's business meeting is held on the 4th Friday of the month following the regular open meeting. If this is your home group, please stay and participate. Are all service positions presently filled?

Are there any announcements for the good of this group or AA as a whole?/p>

(Distribute AA Responsibility Statement Cards)

Please join us in the AA Responsibility Statement:

I am responsible.

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA always to be there.

And for that: I am responsible.
