Riding the Rails in France

Railroads in France are all state-run, by SNCF (Société National de Chemins de Fer) They are fast, cheap, safe, clean, comfortable, and reliable. The train station in Lille has 16 trains arriving from all over within a 30 minute period during the busy time of the day.
